Privacy

This site keeps no accounts and puts no cookies of its own on your device. It counts visits with cookieless analytics tools, and the advertising collects more. This page says exactly what each one does and how to turn the advertising off.

What we collect

There are no accounts, no sign ups, and no forms. The games run entirely in your browser. While you play, PostHog counts the game page the same way it counts every other page, and the game adds the three events described under PostHog below.

How we measure visits

We use three tools to see how the site is doing. None of them puts a cookie on your device.

Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare, which serves this site, adds a small script to every page, the games page included. It counts page views and how quickly each page loaded. It stores nothing on your device and does not follow you from one visit to the next.

PostHog. PostHog counts which pages people visit and what they tap or click, so we know what is worth making more of. The game page is counted the same way. On top of that, the game sends three events of its own: when a game starts; after each round, which microgame it was and whether it was won; and when a game ends, the score, the number of rounds, the time played and the lives left. That is all the game adds, with no personal data and no free text. PostHog is set up to store nothing on your device (no cookie and no local storage) and to build no profile of you. Like any request, it receives your network address and browser, and with each event the address of the page you were on. PostHog holds this data in the United States.

Google Search Console. This does not run on our pages at all. Google uses it to show us how our pages appear in its search results, such as which searches found them.

What the hosting sees

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the ordinary details of each request: your network address, your browser, and the page you asked for. We see those only as counts, such as how many people opened a page in a week. We do not keep or export individual visits.

Advertising cookies

The Arcade and News pages show adverts through Google AdSense. There is no advertising inside the games themselves, and none on this page. Google, and the advertising partners it works with, use cookies to choose adverts based on your earlier visits to this site and to other sites. That information goes to Google, not to us. We never learn who you are, only that an advert was shown.

In some places Google first shows a privacy message about these adverts. It remembers the choice you make there in two cookies under this site's name, FCCDCF and FCNEC. Google sets and reads them; we do not.

You can turn personalised advertising off at Google's ad settings, and opt out of other companies' personalised adverts at aboutads.info. Blocking cookies in your browser works too, and the site reads and plays fine without them.

Web fonts

The lettering is Barlow, Barlow Condensed and Newsreader, loaded from Google Fonts. That means Google receives your network address and browser on every page here, including this one, whether or not you block adverts.

Your best score

When you finish a game, your best score is saved in your own browser's storage so it is still there next time. It is not a cookie, it never leaves your browser, nobody here can see it, and clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Children

These are short, silly games and children are welcome to play them. We knowingly collect nothing from anyone, children included. If you are a parent and you would rather no advertising cookies were set at all, block cookies for this site in your browser and everything still works.

If any of this changes, the change is published here with the date on it.
